Electrons, atoms, circuits, parallel, series, and electromagnetic are just a few of the terms students will hear in this fast paced two and one-half hour lab. Students will create their own simple, closed, parallel, and series circuits. We will also reach back in time to learn about Alessandro Volta, who would collect salty cheese brine from local farmers to fuel his budding invention that one day would be called the Voltaic wet cell battery, the great-great-grandfather to the batteries found in our cellphones today. This is one electrifying field trip.
