The Cade Museum Leadership
The Board of Directors currently has 11 members. The Foundation is actively recruiting additional members and expects to have 15 directors by the end of 2010 .
Phoebe Cade Miles founded the Cade Museum Foundation in 2004. She is also the vice-president and founder of the Gloria Dei Foundation, a family-operated charity that helps those in need by providing grants to successful and innovative non-profit organizations. A native of Gainesville, Florida, Mrs. Miles currently resides in Washington D.C. with her husband and three children.

Mary Strasburger Cade was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She attended the University of Texas in Austin and received a B.S. in Nursing in 1951. In 1952, while working in Texas Children's Hospital, she met James Robert Cade "over a fractured liver." The two married in 1953, and later lived in St. Louis and near New York City before settling in Gainesville, Florida in 1961, where Robert Cade was a professor and nephrology (kidney) specialist.

Joe Cirulli developed his passion for fitness at a very young age and eventually that passion blossomed into a fitness business that is now recognized around the world. Joe owns two co-ed health clubs and one women’s only health club in Gainesville, Florida with a combined membership of over 28,000 loyal customers. A natural leader, Joe also served as Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce Chairman in 2009.

Lucinda Lavelli, who began her tenure as Dean in 2006, oversees the University of Florida College of Fine Arts. As one of the 16 colleges and more than 150 research centers and institutes at UF, the College of Fine Arts houses baccalaureate, master’s and Ph.D. degree programs and its approximately 1,100 majors and 100 faculty members in its three fully accredited schools — the School of Art and Art History, School of Music, School of Theatre and Dance.

Perry C. McGriff, Jr. is a native Floridian. Born in Arcadia, Florida on June 29, 1937, Perry and his wife, Noel, have five children and seven grandchildren. An All-American baseball star and football player while at the University of Florida, Perry McGriff has devoted much of his life to serving his community and his university.

Richard Miles joined the Cade Museum Foundation in September 2009 and was the interim Executive Director until August 2010. A career Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State from 1993 - 2009, Mr. Miles served as a civilian adviser on a Provincial Reconstruction Team in Karbala, Iraq from 2008-2009 and at the White House from 2006-2008.

Susannah Peddie worked at Merrill Lynch Private Client Group for five years before taking a break recently to focus on her family and the Gainesville community. Born and raised in Lake Wales, Florida, Ms. Peddie graduated from Davidson College with a B.A. in Psychology. Ms. Peddie is the founder and member of Linked-In Women of Gainesville, a referral and networking group for women

Scott Perdue is an aviation writer for several U.S. and foreign magazines and the author of the novel, “Pale Moon Rising.” He has served as a consultant to the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, NASA, Raytheon and the RAND Corporation. He was involved in the TV show, "Wings to Adventure" for two years and produced the promotional video for the Hollywood movie "Men of War."

Tom Rose was named executive vice president and chief financial officer for RTI Biologics in February 2008. He also serves as corporate secretary to the board of directors. Rose joined RTI as vice president and CFO in May 2002. He oversees all financial aspects of RTI and its affiliates striving for the development of best in-class systems and operating procedures.

Sheila helped develop Flycaster & Company, a strategic marketing, branding and design firm. In 2001, she became a partner in her husband’s management and executive education consultancy. Sheila studied Finance and Business Management at the University of Central Florida before entering the thoroughbred industry where she managed one of the most successful and prestigious breeding, sales, training & racing operations in the country.

Marilyn Tubb is associate vice president for college relations at Santa Fe College, a position she has held since 2009. Prior to her work with Santa Fe, Marilyn was vice president for community affairs at Shands HealthCare, the hospital network affiliated with the University of Florida. Until her retirement from Shands in 2007, she worked in healthcare public relations and marketing for nearly 30 years: first at North Florida Regional Medical Center, then at AvMed Health Plan, and, finally, for Shands HealthCare.
