Programs
Programs and events run by the Cade Museum.
The Cade Museum brings programs and events to our community to inspire creative thinking, future inventors and early entrepreneurs.
We will connect those who would like to invent with those who are already well on their way.
We will work to increase students' knowledge of and love for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) in a way that they can apply to their own passions for creating, inventing and experimenting.
We will provide the opportunity to try out new ideas, to experiment, and for early entrepreneurs to gain exposure, expertise and funding through our Cade Museum Prize.

Guess What Happens Next?
June 25 - Ok science sleuths! Before the experiment happens let’s make our scientific guess - a hypothesis -on what the outcome will be. Will it go one way or the other? Will the temperature go up or down? Which one will melt the fastest? Put on those safety goggles and let’s see what happens next! Book now.

Chasing the Weather
May 22 - It’s more than just weather balloons. Join Brandon Molyneaux as he shares, demonstrates and facilitates these very hands on labs exploring weather patterns, volcanoes and other weather phenomena using hydrometers, barometers, seismographs and a few other interesting weather predicting devices in the Cade Creativity Lab.
Creativity is the Process: Innovation is the Result
Embracing Dr. Cade’s legacy of innovation and creative problem solving, the Cade Museum believes that linking creative thinking with scientific knowledge sparks learning. We are partnering with today’s scientists, researchers and entrepreneurs, such as our Cade Museum Prize applicants, to energize tomorrow’s inventors. There is nothing more inspiring than watching a middle school student work alongside a researcher whose work is based upon the same scientific principles. Using the Cade Lab to connect students with inventors helps students bring topics full circle as they witness science in action.
How We Design our Programs
The Cade Museum programs are structured to provide multiple levels and points of entry into STEAM content. Using a pyramid model, our programs are designed to serve audiences of varying ages and abilities. Beginning at the bottom of the pyramid, with more basic content, then moving toward the increasingly complex programs at the top of the pyramid, this model allows students, young an old, to grow with the Cade Museum. As students develop their interest in science, they have the opportunity to build upon what they have learned in the Cade Lab and take more intensive classes that engage science content on a higher level and connect them with STEM career paths.
How We Teach
There are many different kids of learners so, we use a variety of innovative educational strategies, we to ensure that each participant has a memorable and engaging experience. In the lab, students are encouraged to take ownership of their own creative process. At the center of each program lies the question, “What would happen if...”, scaffolded by a set of tools to help students to overcome the hurdles to creativity and focus on the process, rather than the result, of creative experimentation. Our programs also support Florida’s Next Generation Sunshine State Standards, and incorporate the expertise of scholars and specialists and entrepreneurs to ensure that each program is not only enjoyable, but also grounded in sound science, historical and business content.
