The Cade Prize is looking for interns with a passion for creativity and entrepreneurship, who will work directly with Cade Prize staff and assist with the daily operations of running an innovation prize. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in being an active part of the Florida innovation community and with the opportunity to interact with Cade Prize judges, applicants, supporters and sponsors.
Department: Exhibits and Visionaries Classification: Un-paid internship, can but does not require academic credit Reports to: Senior Manager of Exhibits and Visionaries Schedule: between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday- Friday. Minimum of 10 hours/week.
Job Description: Monitor and post on related blogs, forums, and social networks; social media outreach and promotion; assist with the planning and coordination of the Sweet 16 Finalist Expo and Inventivity Bash; attend related events with staff as a representative of the Cade Prize, with the potential to travel throughout the state; act as a liaison between the Cade Prize and the UF entrepreneurial community.
Qualifications: Great attitude; self direction and initiative; interest in entrepreneurship, startup culture, management and/or business ; familiarity with social media platforms; strong verbal and written communication skills (informal and formal)
