What is TinkerCAD? TinkerCAD is a free, online 3D modeling program that runs in a web browser, known for its simplicity and ease of use. Since it became available in 2011 it has become a popular platform for creating models for 3D printing as well as an entry-level introduction to constructive solid geometry in schools. (www.tinkercad.com) These tutorials walks you through most of the tools and features of tinkerCAD explaining how to select, move, resize, rotate, group, copy, align and change colors of objects on the work plane.
What is Scratch? Scratch is a block-based visual programing language created to engage children into coding with simple drag and drop code. Scratch takes its name from a technique used by disk jockeys called “scratching”, where vinyl records are clipped together and manipulated on a turntable to produce different sound effects and music. Scratch users are encouraged to mix different media, such as graphics, sound, and other programs in creative ways by “remixing” assets and projects just like disk jockey. Learn more about Scratch.
