- Reinventing Immunity: Our Body's Defense (K - 8th): Ever wonder how our bodies fight against a virus? In Reinventing Immunity, we’re diving into the teeny tiny world of the cells that store our body’s DNA, our immune system, and the ways cells function with their own internal systems. Join us to discover the big impact of the little world of cells!
- Discovering DNA (3rd - 5th): Discover the seemingly simple methods of pinpointing inheritance traits, learn about the structure of DNA, and even extract real strands of DNA from fruits you may have in your fridge! Join us to get closer to the very thing that holds your genetic history!
- Code at the Cade: Dash the Robot (3rd - 5th): Learn the language of computers! With a program called Blockly, create and run codes on Dash the Robot. Dash will help break down coding concepts like algorithms, loops, parameters and functions! Join us to plug in to the world of computer coding today!
- The Hidden World of Insects (K - 1st): From playful pollinators to creepy crawlers, discover the life cycles and anatomies of our planet’s team of wonderful workers. You can learn all about these creatures and their stories up close with fun crafts and interactive activities at Cade!
- Shedding Light on Electrical Circuits (3rd - 5th): What happens when you flip on a light switch? In this field trip, learn how to build circuits using everyday materials and connect with the key inventor who played a critical role in discovering the electrical current we all use today!
- Magnificent Matter (2nd - 5th): When studying matter, things can get a little overwhelming – it’s everything! Matter is anything that physically takes up space, from things like liquids, solids, gases to all those things in-between. Narrow the exploration down with Cade’s Magnificent Matter where students can learn more about the three classic states of matter, the difference between weight and mass, and much more!
- Optics: Exploring the Seen and Unseen (3rd - 5th): How does light travel? How do mirrors work? How do our brains help us see the world around us? Discover light’s illusive properties, the secrets hidden in simple white light, how light can bend our perceptions of reality, and much more!
- Simple Machines: The World's Earliest Inventions (3rd - 5th): Looking up at giant bridges, cranes, or even going through a car wash may spark ideas of complexity and stump you with how they work, but what if you broke those monumental machines down? You would notice they were made up of some pretty simple parts! Join us to unlock how simple machines have been combined throughout human history to create the colossal complex machines that build our world.
- Force, Motion, Inertia: A Crash Course in Physics (2nd - 5th): The findings of this particular scientist carry a heavy weight! Students will explore the life and research of Sir Isaac Newton, the scientist who uncovered and explained the principles of physics that dictate our universe today. Get funky with friction and gravity, test marvelous magnets, and get moving with hands-on investigations of Newton’s three Laws of Motion. Join Cade to explore the life and discoveries of this monumental scientist!
- Earth Science: Spheres of Influence (2nd - 5th): Ever heard of the atmosphere? What about the biosphere, geosphere or hydrosphere? Join the Cade for this Earth-shattering field trip to explore all the spheres that make up our amazing planet. Discover how each sphere works on its own and teams up with the others to create rocks and rainstorms, clouds and clean water.
