What is the Living Inventors Series?
Each month, the Cade Museum invites an inventor to the Creativity Lab to help teach a class about creative problem solving. In addition to meeting a living and breathing inventor, students discover the scientific principles that went into the invention. Hands-on interactive experiments are designed to help students experience the joy of discovery and the thrill of the “aha” moment, when they understand how concepts come together in one amazing invention. They share in the optimistic energy of the inventor, who tells the story of how they combined facts in new and novel ways so that all of humanity can benefit. Most importantly, students learn that they, too, are creative and can begin to build their own creative connections. They are launched on their own journey to become a problem solver!
