Cotton to the Cade
On February 21st, many attended the first ever Cotton to the Cade event. Children and adults alike participated in an exciting walking tour that celebrated African American History Month! Attendees met historical figures through reenactments and engaged in hands-on activities related to their inventions. Thank you to all who came out to enjoy this wonderful event! Now is the time to register for field trips at the Creativity Lab! Dates in March, April and May are still available, but are filling up quickly! Our lab is available for classes from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. We offer five topics to choose from, with each class lasting approximately two hours. The Cade Museum is looking for enthusiastic, energetic students who love science, creativity and learning! The inaugural summer volunteer program at the Cade Museum will allow high school aged students (must be at least 14 years old by September 1, 2015) to assist in the Creativity Lab with classes, experiments, class preparation, special events and more!
