The Cade Museum for Creativity + Invention is looking for a passionate, engaged and committed volunteers/interns to assist the staff in social media, marketing and public relations. The internship will provide the student with real-world experience in marketing and public relations at a professional level. Department: Administration Classification: Unpaid internship, can but does not require academic credit Reports to: Marketing Director Schedule: between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday- Friday. Minimum of 10 hours/week.
Job Description: maintain and organize media clippings; update community calendars with Cade Museum public events; write press releases and media alerts; work with local media to get PR stories; assist in building content for social media; proof reading of print and web materials; assist with general communications
Qualifications: Great attitude; Self direction and initiative; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; strong verbal and written communication skills (informal and formal); familiarity with social media platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
