The Cade Museum for Creativity + Invention is looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and committed intern to assist with all aspects of the museum's STEAM-based educational outreach programs. This internship will provide the student with real-world experience in outreach program development, delivery, and evaluation. The position involves administrative and research tasks, as well as direct interaction with children of all ages in museum, school, and community settings.
Department: Education-Outreach Classification: Unpaid internship, may apply towards academic credit but are not required to. Reports to: Outreach Coordinator Schedule: between 9am and 5pm Monday-Friday. Minimum of 10-15 hours/week. May require occasional evening and weekend hours.
Job Description: Assist Outreach Coordinator with planning, set-up, and breakdown of program events; assist Outreach Coordinator and other Museum Educators with facilitation of outreach classes and school visits; assist with data tracking and entry, filing, and other administrative tasks; special projects as assigned.
Qualifications: Comfortable interacting with preschool-aged and elementary school-aged children, must be highly organized and detail-oriented, strong verbal and written communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, preferred.
